Job Description

Yard OperativeWakefield, WF1Competitive salary + benefitsHours of work are Monday to Friday between 06.00am and 10.00pmThis is a fantastic opportunity to further your career at one of the London Stock Exchange Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain.Part of a £35m turnover Group, Conservatory Outlet is Yorkshires leading manufacturer of high-quality home improvement products spanning contemporary extensions, conservatories, orangeries, replacement roofs, windows and doors in both uPVC and aluminium.We are recruiting a Yard Operative to support the manufacturing of a quality product to our retail network. You will ensure that all vehicles are loaded and prepared for the following days deliveries. You will be highly motivated, with a can-do approach,enthusiastic and committed. You must be flexible, willing, and adaptable and work with the team to ensure the job gets done.You will know what it takes to achieve targetsand you will have the motivation to get results.Hours of work are Monday to Friday between 06.00am and 10.00pm.   • To check deliveries and move products between departments ensuring the factory have the right amount of stock in the right place at the right time.
  • Working outside in a busy yard environment loading and unloading lorries.
  • To move goods packed on stillages, pallets, or crates around the yard facility.
  • To stack goods in the correct location bays.
  • Any other duties as required.
Person Attributes
  • It will be advantageous to have an in-date Combi Lift and counterbalance license.
  • Excellent attention to detail with great organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with colleagues, managers, and customers.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong team player who can work on own initiative with a can-do attitude with effective time management.
  • Strong Health and Safety knowledge.
  • A willingness to undertake further training with the ability to implement learning into your daily work.
