Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Operative / Store Person to join our clients highly experienced team in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.About the companyOur client is one of the UKs leading specialists in fire protection systems. They offer a full range of fire protection products from automatic sprinklers to fire-fighting water supplies.They are committed to providing the best possible service in all areas including design, installation, service and maintenance.About the roleAs a Warehouse Operative / Store Person, your main role will be organising the stores and stock rooms. Responsibilities include:

  • Loading and unloading supplier delivery vehicles in a timely manner using the relevant equipment
  • Dropping-off and collecting stock, materials and parts, both locally and throughout the UK
  • Updating the Companys records, databases, systems and paperwork relevant to the inward and outward movement of stock, material and parts
  • Ordering parts and stock items
  • Preparing and packing inward and outward stock materials and parts orders, including preparation of courier documentation
  • Ensuring that store areas are kept clean and safe at all times
  • Ensuring stock levels for the engineers Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are maintained, including issuing PPE to engineers and updating PPE records
  • Contributing to the stock taking process and updating the relevant Company records, databases, systems and paperwork
About the personThe ideal candidate for the position of Warehouse Operative / Store Person must be / have:
  • Strong organisational skills
  • The ability to complete assigned tasks safely and on time with minimal supervision
  • A team player
  • Confidence using basic Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook emails)
  • An understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
  • Full Driving License
About the salary and rewardsAs a Warehouse Operative / Store Person you will receive an excellent salary of £18,000 to £23,000 per annum depending on experience. You will also receive:
