Part of a £40m+ turnover Group that also owns and runs two of the North’s most successful retail installers, we’re proud to have been awarded Manufacturer of the Year’ status at the Wakefield Business Awards.We are recruiting an experienced Transport Co-ordinator to support the smooth, efficient transition of product from production to our retail network. The role involves you providing day to day administration support to the Warehouse and Transport department. You must have a positive outlook with a strong focus on doing the right thing for the customer, creating win-wins and displaying energy and tenacity.You must be an organised, experienced transport administrator, with strong problem-solving skills, the tenacity to see a job through to the end, with the ability to quickly learn new skills. You will have the desire and passion to deliver exceptional customer service and the ability to make a difference. You will be highly motivated, with a "can-do" approach, enthusiastic and committed.Role Responsibilities·To be responsible for implementing and maintaining logistics administration systems and compiling and maintaining documentation and managing information;·To ensure that all tachographs are collated / downloaded and analysed within the legal allocated time;·To assist the Warehouse and Transport Manager in ensuring all Conservatory Group driving licences, digital tachographs, driver qualification cards are up to date and checked regularly;·To organise vehicles for their Preventative Maintenance Inspections and MOT’s;·To answer queries from both external and internal customers and communicate essential departmental requirements and objectives to reporting team;·To assist the Warehouse and Transport Manager in ensuring the drivers operate in a safe and legal manner, issuing all relevant driver documentation ensuring they are fully aware of their responsibilities and requirements.Person Attributes·Previous experience of working in a busy, fast paced manufacturing and logistics environment;·Strong geographical knowledge with a working knowledge of transport operations including up to date knowledge of driver’s hours and working time regulations;·Excellent numeracy and literacy skills with experience of analytical work would be advantageous;·Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop good positive working relations with all stakeholders;·Excellent organisational and planning skills with a focus on the delivery of a quality service;·A highly motivated individual with a can-do approach to work and the ability to "Make it happen";·The ability to demonstrate effective time management, prioritise own tasks and manage own workload ensuring all work is completed in a timely and accurate manner with proven experience of adhering to deadlines.In return we offer a positive work environment, pension, health cash plan and free parking.Please send your CV and covering letter advising your salary expectations and why you are a suitable candidate.
