A Supplier Quality Engineer is required within a highly regulated specialist manufacturer in the West Yorkshire area with a chance to meet customers nationally and overseas whilst promoting a positive and inclusive attitude toward problem-solving and resolutionwithin the business.Working closely with the supply chain team, you will be leading supplier selection and approval, providing dynamic supplier quality management. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join a forward-thinking businessthat has safety and quality at the forefront of everything they do. Duties and responsibilities include:- Support NPI and ECN activities using Automotive core tools (APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, QCP)- Lead problem-solving activities with the supplier using tools such as 8D, PPS, Ishikawa, 5 Why- Conduct supplier audits and supplier development for UK and overseas suppliers.- Ensure supplier adherence to EHS, Quality and Environmental standards - Support the Operations Team in eliminating manufacturing concerns caused by suppliers- To lead quality investigations and problem-solving teams using A3, 8D, PPS, etc. and present these results to the wider team.- Chair cross functional team meetings with defined meeting agendas and action lists.- Drive supplier NCMR process with support from the Supply Chain team.Im keen to speak to candidates with the following skillset:- Experienced Supplier Quality Engineer or Quality Engineer- In depth knowledge of multiple manufacturing and assembly processes- Able to lead APQP, PPAP, P/FMEA, Control Plan, Capability Studies, Gauge R&R, MSA, - PPAP experience essential- 6 Sigma Green Belt preferred but not essential- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor- Logical problem-solving experience using Is-Is Not, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, Action Plans, etc
