Job Description

Are you enthusiastic, friendly and reliable Are you looking for a Supervisor role with the opportunity to make a real difference within a healthcare setting Are you flexible to work full-time hours, on a rota basisIf so - this may be the role you have been looking for!We are looking for a hard-working and likeable Supervisor, for a Wakefield based NHS client. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to work in an environment which has patient safety and care at the very heart of its working practices.The aim of the role is to supervise a team of staff, in order to ensure they maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.Some key duties the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supervision of staff
  • Compiling rotas
  • Checking & updating of internal sickness and absence system
  • Conduct Return to Work meetings following sickness absence
  • Completion of staff payroll (e- rostering)
  • Auditing cleans that have been completed by staff
  • Monitoring of cleanliness standards
  • Utilising internal electronic meal ordering service for patients & service users
  • Conducting staff appraisals
  • Carrying out training for existing and new staff
  • Demonstrate compliance with policies and procedures.
Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:
  • Good standard of education in English & Maths
  • Previous Supervisory experience.
  • PC literacy, keyboard skills & ability to learn new internal IT systems.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff at all levels, respectful of colleagues.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for self and others.
  • Understanding of need to maintain confidentiality.
  • Adaptable and flexible according to the demands of the service.
Shift Pattern & Working Days:Working days: 5 days per week out of 7, on a rota basis.This means you are required to be flexible to work a mixture of weekday and weekend shifts, as required by the department. Enhanced rates of pay apply for working "unsociable" hours.Shift times: 8 hour shifts, ordinarily between the hours of 06:00 and 22:00.Some examples are, 06:00-14:00, 10:00-18:00, 14:00-22:00.Working hours: Total of 37.5 hours per week.Duration will be circa 3 months initially with the view of extension.Due to the large volume of applications we receive it is only possible to respond to shortlisted candidates.
