Elevation Recruitment Group Engineering & Manufacturing has a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and dynamic Shift Manager to join their expanding team based in Wakefield.The role will be rotating shifts: Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm.The role of the Shift Manager will be to oversee a team of circa 40 skilled and semi-skilled operatives on the shop floor. You will lead the team of production operatives to achieve their daily production targets whilst driving a strong focus on CI, quality, and health & safety.Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):* Confidently lead and motivate your production team* Manage your team to achieve targets and results* Implement business improvement techniques to facilitate the growth in the factory* Maintain production quality standards and drive health & safety standardsThe successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:* Experience with managing teams of 25+ skilled operatives* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills* Experience within a fast-moving manufacturing environment* IOSH qualified desirable* Passion for continuous improvement and waste reduction* Strong absence management skills* Flexible with working hours - you may be required to work 1 in 4 Saturdays* Confident decision-maker and self-motivatedThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving, secure company as they embark on an exciting period of growth.Elevation Recruitment Groups Engineering & Manufacturing division work with a vast range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire, and East Midlands regions.
