Are you currently an experienced Quantity Surveyor working within the new build housing industry and seeking a new and exciting positionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy Commercial Department for a multi-award-winning, National Builder based in Yorkshire.The company are the UKs leading developer delivering high quality design and build to a wide range of new build properties, varying from luxury homes to townhouses, and apartments.The Role - Senior Quantity Surveyor As a Senior Quantity Surveyor working within our wider Commercial, Estimating and Buying team you will deliver a range of cost control and financial reporting on housing developments within the region.Duties and responsibilities: (full job spec available on request)Attend development meetings, contract pre-start and subcontract package review meetings.Receive initial tender information and assist in the preparation of the proposed tender lists and updating of subsequent procurement programmes.Distribute design information packages and tender drawings, whilst preparing all tender documentation and letters including carrying out preliminary checks on subcontractorsPreparing construction cost analysis, which includes analysis of quotations resulting from the tender enquiry, requesting additional and outstanding information as required.Assess site staffing levels and build programmes with the Construction Director to ascertain preliminary costs, including collating all cost information and preparing the start on site budgetArrange and adjudicate budget settlement meetings, with the support of the Commercial teamCarry out pre-order meetings including all necessary Health & Safety requirements, finalising a tender sum and agreeing a stage payment schedule for payment purposes before preparing all contract documentation and placing the order.Whats on offerCompetitive basic salary and annual bonusCompany car, car allowance or travel allowance28 days annual leave plus bank holidaysPrivate HealthcareCompany contributory pension schemeLife assurance - 4 x your annual salaryShare save schemeCycle to work scheme - up to £3,000Support with a professional membershipIf this position sounds of interest and you would like more information, or would like to apply, please do not hesitate to get in contact with Adam at Fawkes & Reece on (option 3) or .If you are not interested but you know someone that might be, we pay a fee for successful referrals (terms apply)Please note - in order to progress any applications further, Fawkes & Reece will need to add your details to our computerised database.
