Job Description

Position: Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, West YorkshireLocation: Wakefield/Hybrid (2 days a week working from home and 3 days travelling)Role: Permanent Salary: £40,977.30 (plus mileage) Hours: 37.5 per weekQin Recruitment are working with one of very few social care organisations that are accredited by the Great Places to Work programme in 2023 - now 5 years in a row!They are looking to appoint a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to work in the Wakefield area. The role is hybrid with 2 days a week working from home and 3 days travelling to West Yorkshire. You will need an MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support or similar.You will provide excellent Positive Behaviour Support and respond to referrals requiring behaviour support involvement. Provide direct behaviour support in setting up and delivering on behaviour support plans by working alongside teams and Behaviour SupportPractitioners to develop outcomes, skills, and knowledge within the support teams.Ensure support teams are focused on enhancing the quality of life of people supported, promoting personal skill development, and reducing/eliminating the use of restrictive practices.About the role Your main duties will include:

  • Lead in the provision of good practice support in the delivery of behaviour support plans.
  • Support the development of individual team members skills sets in the interpretation of Behaviour Support Plans and the review process.
  • Contribute to the service set up of new support as prioritised within the region.
  • Complete the Functional Behaviour Assessments and implement Behaviour Support Plans in collaboration with support teams, families, and others.
About You
  • The successful applicant will have:
  • Have significant experience in directly supporting people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism who have complex needs using Applied Behaviour Analysis/Positive Behaviour Support.
  • Experience of producing and implementing PBS plans.
  • Able to demonstrate significant experience of working within a PBS role.
  • Write and maintain comprehensive records and other documentation for understanding support and its outcome.
