Job Description

Science Teacher

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Wakefield
  • Salary: £131~200 per day
We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Science Teacher to join one of our schools in Wakefield with an ASAP start date. The successful candidate will be passionate about science education and committed to ensuring that every pupil achieves their maximumpotential. This role is ideal for someone with a deep interest in student attainment at all levels, who can bring innovation, resilience, and energy to our learning community. Day to Day of the Role:
  • Deliver engaging and challenging science lessons to a diverse group of students.
  • Assess, track, and report on students’ progress, adapting teaching methods to suit different learning needs.
  • Foster a stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and active learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum initiatives.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to the development of teaching resources and strategies.
  • Support the personal development of students as a tutor or mentor.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance teaching practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Science or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Resilience, vision, and the ability to innovate in teaching methods.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
