Job Description

PSHE Teacher- SEMH School in WakefieldEngage Education are currently working in partnership with a special educational needs school on an exciting new PSHE Teaching vacancy in the Wakefield area.Starting immediately, the school is looking for an outstanding PSHE Teacher to join them on a long term temporary basis. Initially to start ASAP and with the view to continue until July 2022.The school is looking for a teacher to deliver pSHE and to students with social, emotional and mental health issues.This is a great opportunity for a teacher wanting to progress into a head of department role.Your Role:

  • Delivering engaging PSHE Lessons
  • Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class
  • Providing feedback to teachers and parents
  • You will be assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties and other Learning Disabilities
What you will need:
  • A range of behaviour management techniques
  • To have worked with learners with a range of needs
  • The ability to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
  • To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time
  • A resilient attitude
