Job Description

We are looking for experienced Personalisation & Assessment Assistant to assist with the development and implementation of processes relating to the financial assessment and payment of Personal Budgets. To set up payments for office goods, Court of Protection,Monitoring and personal budgets and any other related administrative tasks. Assist with the development and implementation of efficient and effective financial assessment, Deputy& Estates and Monitoring functions together with supporting administration systemsfor the Personalisation & assessment Team.Payrate: £10.01 per hourStart date: 08/11/2021End date: 24/12/2021Address: Normanton, WF6 2DZResponsibilities:

  • To provide general and specialist support for correspondence, typing, filing, clerical and administration support service to all team members within the priorities, standards and timescales set by the Personalisation Manager
  • To manage the referrals for financial assessment and welfare benefits including liaising with Visiting Officers, ringing service users and carers, updating computer systems, sending letters and documentation and also amending visits to ensure the resourceis used effectively. Due to the nature of the client base a flexible and sympathetic approach is required.
  • To liaise with Service User or their family by telephone and prioritise and co-ordinate a number of important tasks all of which may need action at any one time.
  • To set up payments as required for personal budgets, monitoring and court of protection
  • To ensure the transfer of paper based information into Care director/Civica to meet prescribed deadlines to support the work of the team.
  • To provide an effective information and reception service both in person by telephone and in writing to the public, staff in other agencies, and Directorate staff.
  • Maintain statistical, financial and other information systems to provide accurate and timely information as required by the Manager or Supervisor using manual and computerised systems as appropriate.
  • To undertake a range of clerical and administrative tasks to support staff in all teams managed by the Team including:-
  • Entering and updating service user records and service placements onto Caredirector/Winnix in a timely and accurate manor.
  • To service meetings as required, including booking premises, the production of minutes, collation of meeting papers and the circulation of appropriate papers and minutes to the standard required by the Manager or Supervisor.
  • To take bookings for training courses, book premises, arrange for the provision of refreshments and the relevant equipment.
  • To liaise with other Departmental staff / Providers regarding financial assessments and SDS monitoring.
  • To ensure that responsibilities under the Directorates Health and Safety procedures are complied with.
  • Any such duties at a comparable level of responsibility relating to the work of the Section that may be determined by the team manager.
  • To induct and train new and existing staff on the admin systems, filing system and databases
  • To check provisional estimates of service users benefit entitlements with the state benefit providers.
  • To be responsible for the maintenance of booking systems allocating service user appointments and issuing the relevant correspondence.
  • Record and pay in cheques received.
