Doing Amazing Things TogetherAre you determined, resilient and looking for a new challenge Then we have the perfect opportunity for you!We are recruiting a PBS Practitioners to join our team in Wakefield.This will be supporting Children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that challenge. The role is on a 1 to 1 basis with the aim to increase the child/young person’s quality of life through using positive behaviour support strategiesand interventions.You will work predominately weekdays from 9am-5pm, but you should be willing to work flexibly outside of these times as required, including occasional weekends.The child/young person you will be supporting will be living at home but at significant risk of entering specialist residential care. A key part of this role is to support the child/young person to stay living at home, going to a local school and remainin their community.As part of this role:You will be supported by the Senior PBS Practitioner to deliver the highest quality and standards of Positive Behaviour Support to children/young people, their family members and a range of other professionals, enabling the child/young person to live intheir own home.Key work with one child/young person, delivering PBS interventions in their home, school, in the community and other support service settings, including directly supporting the child/young person, modelling good practice and providing guidance to their parents,teachers and a range of other professionals.Work in very close partnership with and alongside their, parents, teachers and other professionals to ensure consistent implementation of the PBS strategiesKey Skills Required: A positive role model who brings our values to life and shares our passion and commitment to always strive to find creative ways to enrich the lives of those we support.You will have experience of working with children and young people with complex needs and behaviours that challengeA willingness to undertake PBS Specific training and have a good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding specifically for people with increased vulnerability.
