Job Description

New Job: Payroll and Accounts Assistant based in Wakefield Are you an experienced Payroll and Accounts Assistant as we are recruiting for a well established and growing manufacturer and retailer of premium products to join their team.The role is offered with hybrid working, AAT study support (if required) and the chance for personal development.The key function of this position is to complete the company’s payroll in a timely and accurate manner as well as purchase ledger tasks.About the Job:

  • Processing weekly and monthly company payroll.
  • Updating the payroll system with statutory payroll information such as maternity, paternity, starter and leaver details, tax and national insurance.
  • Inputting payroll information such as overtime, expenses and change of details.
  • Identifying, investigating and resolving payroll and timesheet issues.
  • Accurately calculate and review tax and NI contributions and upload RTI.
  • Ensuring that pension deductions are correctly applied in line with auto enrolment.
  • Providing statutory and year end payroll reporting and documentation.
  • Processing and matching purchase ledger invoices and reconciliation of supplier statements.
About you:You should have previous payroll experience and an understanding of statutory payroll legislation. You should be able to work in a confidential manner, building relationships with colleagues at all levels and managing a busy workload.
