Job Description

Part Time Logistics AdministratorThis is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the London Stock Exchange Group’s Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2020.Our clients is an industry-leading manufacturer of home improvement products spanning contemporary extensions, conservatories, orangeries, roofs, glass, windows and doors in both uPVC and aluminium. Part of a £40m+ turnover Group that also owns and runs two of the North’s most successful retail installers, we’re proud to have been awarded Manufacturer of the Year’ status at the Wakefield Business Awards.Following unprecedented growth, we are recruiting a Part Time Logistics Administrator to support the smooth, efficient transition of product from production to our retail network.You will be responsible for the day to day administration of the Logistics department providing administrative and managerial support to the Warehouse and Transport Manager. You will have a positive outlook with a strong focus on doing the right thing for the customer, creating win-wins and display energy and tenacity.Hours of work are 25.5 hours per week working 3 full days. There may be flexibility with the hours of work.Role Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for implementing and maintaining logistics administration systems and compiling and maintaining documentation and managing information;
  • To ensure that all tachographs are collated / downloaded and analysed within the legal allocated time;
  • To assist the Warehouse and Transport Manager in ensuring all Conservatory Group driving licences, digital tachographs, driver qualification cards are up to date and checked regularly;
  • To organise vehicles for their Preventative Maintenance Inspections and MOT’s;
  • To answer queries from both external and internal customers and communicate essential departmental requirements and objectives to reporting team;
  • To assist the Warehouse and Transport Manager in ensuring the drivers operate in a safe and legal manner, issuing all relevant driver documentation ensuring they are fully aware of their responsibilities and requirements.
    • Person Attributes
  • Previous experience of working in a busy, fast paced manufacturing and logistics environment;
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills with experience of analytical work would be advantageous;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop good positive working relations with all stakeholders;
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with a focus on the delivery of a quality service;
  • The ability to demonstrate effective time management, prioritise own tasks and manage own workload ensuring all work is completed in a timely and accurate manner with proven experience of adhering to deadlines.
