Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with an industry leading business based in Wakefield who have a rare opportunity for a driven Part Qualified Accounting professional to join their busy finance team. The successful candidate will get hands on exposure working in a busy finance function & would be ideal for someone part way through their studies (ACCA / CIMA). Your role will be very varied, and you will help with the processing of invoices, purchase & salesledger, credit control as well as assisting with petty cash, processing cash books & bank statements. Your role will evolve over time to give you more responsibility with management accounts!Duties & Responsibilities will include:* Review daily cashflow with a view to highlighting any issues and to support weekly cashflow* Prepare month end journals and assist in balance sheet reconciliation* Assist in ad-hoc projects and provide data to the Finance Manager in order to support budget holders in monitoring their KPIs* Support the Finance Controller with data and MI to ensure that all month end duties can be completed in a timely manner* Support the Finance Controller with daily flash reporting* Support with ad-hoc requests & act as the proxy for the Finance Controller as necessary* Ensure that the bank is fully reconciled and cash book entries are correct on a daily basis* Reconcile company funding facility on a daily basis and support on site audits* Ensure daily reconciliation of purchases, sales and stock* Provide support to the Accounts Assistant as required* Ensure all PL transactions are correctly reported * Aid in the management of workloads and deadline achievement* Run daily reports and ensure all debts are collected on time* Developing and maintaining financial controls* Continuously improve controls and procedures* Support Finance Controller with ad hoc requests To be successful for this role you MUST have the following attributes:-* ACCA / CIMA Part Qualified* Experienced in using accounting packages, preferably Xero* Ability to work in a complex, fast paced finance team* Strong interpersonal and communication skills* Experience of producing high quality information to deadlines* Proven experience of delivering exceptional service to customers both personally and through a team* Organisational and prioritisation skills* Intermediate computer & Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly excelIf you meet the criteria for this role and are interested in applying - please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss.
