Your New roleWe currently have a brand-new opportunity for a Network Occupancy Co-ordinator to join our team in Wakefield. This is a new role within our Operations directorate which will focus on processing and tracking requests and bookings for road space and abnormal loads on the network. You will be managing, analysing and co-ordinator abnormal load request, notices and permits, including internal and third party works.What you’ll be leading on• Provide feedback and guidance on requests, notices and permits for network occupancy.• Maintain and oversee the management of information in the Highways England Network Occupancy Management System and other associated systems in an accurate and timely manner.• Manage the coordination of Abnormal Loads by agreeing routes for the movement of special order category loads and ensuring accurate and timely delivery. Manage specific movement files and ensure that relevant policies and procedures are followed.• Manage communications regarding booking confirmation, rejections or variations.• Ensure that the road space booking or abnormal loads data is accurate and to take the necessary actions to resolve any issues. Ensure that stakeholders (e.g. NTIS) can rely on the accuracy and timeliness of data to publish road works information, to enable customers to better plan their journeys (e.g. via Traffic England, mobile apps, etc.)• Support the management of network occupancy related to the New Roads and Street Works Act and Traffic Management ActTo be Successful• Excellent Stakeholder management and communication skills• Experience in a fast-paced administrative environment• Proficient in MS Office• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines• Excellent attention to details• Knowledge of the Traffic Management Act and New Road & Street Works Act is desirableA bit about usMaking sure our customers have safe and reliable journeys is at the heart of everything we do in Operations.
