Mid-Level PHP Developer - Wakefield - £23 - £32k + benefitsA highly successful eCommerce retailer with a portfolio of multiple brands is currently seeking a backend web developer, on a permanent basis, to join their 20+ strong web and Marketing team. Your primary focus will be development and maintenance of new and existing systems built in Laravel and CakePHP.Responsibilities:Working with the existing team to develop and maintain systems in Laravel and CakePHPWorking systematically with other members of the team to improve the performance of the eCommerce websites in terms of aesthetics, functionality and conversion rates.Investigating, finding and resolving bugs in the code base and applying these fixes across our sitesEssential Skills:- Object orientated development- Fluent with PHP & relational databases (MySQL)- Experience of using (at least one) MVC frameworks such as Laravel or CakePHP- Strong attention to detail- Team player - Must be able to work effectively, both individually and as part of a teamDesirable Skills- Experience of using code versioning software e.g Git, SVN- Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Acceptance Testing- Experience of using Composer- Familiar with PSR-2 coding standard- RHEL server management- Database designIf you feel this role suits you please reply to this email with an updaetd version of your CV to Spring acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
