Job Description

MARKETING COORDINATORWakefieldThis is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the London Stock Exchange Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2020.Our client (and its trade arm, Robust Products) is an industry-leading manufacturer of home improvement products spanning contemporary extensions, conservatories, orangeries, roofs, glass, windows and doors in both uPVC and aluminium. Part of a £40m+ turnover Group that also owns and runs two of the North’s most successful retail installers, we’re proud to have been awarded Manufacturer of the Year’ status at the Wakefield Business Awards.The business model is unusual in that it is made up of a relatively small but close-knit number of repeat customers. The marketing department is at the frontline of maintaining excellent relationships with the Network to improve retention, add value and enhance engagement (ultimately leading to sales growth.)Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will take responsibility for writing relevant and inspiring internal and external communications across Group, and for carrying out day-to-day marketing administration tasks to ensure our customers have everything they need to sell successfully.Communications will include writing regular newsletters, bulletins, blogs, social media posts, website copy and award nominations against an established communications plan.It would also be beneficial if you have experience of working at a basic level with Adobe InDesign to make basic changes to existing artwork and creative designs.You’ll be working very closely with our Marketing Manager and as such, a positive and collaborative attitude to teamwork is essential. You’ll also be required to carry out marketing administration duties such as stock management, print ordering, updating of technical data sheets etc, and routine updates to existing marketing materials.Role ResponsibilitiesExternal Comms:

  • Manage all social media channels for Conservatory Outlet and the wider group to enhance both B2B and B2C engagement and promote our PR coverage.
  • Write regular blog posts for Conservatory Outlet and the wider Network.
  • Support in the development of a range of video content for Conservatory Outlet and its Network to enhance SEO and social media performance
  • Prepare an industry awards calendar and take the lead on writing business award nominations for Conservatory Outlet and the wider Group to maximise positive PR exposure.
  • Internal Comms:
  • Research, write and produce regular internal newsletters, business updates and bulletins to improve communication across the business and the wider Group.
  • Support the HR Dept with the organisation of internal social events.
  • Represent the Marketing Department at the quarterly staff forum to present and update the business on key marketing developments.
  • Network Comms:
  • Take responsibility for producing engaging written content for the Conservatory Outlet website, and the websites of its Network members.
  • Produce excellent written copy for all retail brochures, technical literature, point-of-sale, adverts, letters and other marketing material
  • Issue important information to the Network members in a variety of formats (email, letter, phone, presentations etc)
  • Work with the Marketing Manager in the planning and execution of a programme of social and workshop-style events (may involve occasional overnight stays)
  • Undertake promotional activities to ensure events are well attended and to collect and analyse feedback from events for future planning.
  • Monitor the Customer Review Centre, including calculating monthly competition winners and issuing reward cheques.
  • Manage invitations and responses on external review engines such as Trustpilot and Google Reviews to maximise positive business reputation.
  • Other:
  • Act as a main point of contact for handling the day-to-day account management of the Network’s marketing requirements.
  • Maintain general stock control, issue and procurement of marketing materials, literature and merchandise to the Network.
  • Support in the co-ordination of new photography projects, liaising with Network members, and homeowners to arrange photoshoots.
  • Work with internal departments to provide support with their marketing requirements.
  • Person Attributes
  • Minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role in B2B.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Experience of managing social media channels for business including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
  • A strong team player who works well using their own initiative with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to oversee projects from concept to completion.
  • A relevant Marketing qualification (Degree equivalent or CIM).
  • Advantageous
  • Experience of working in the manufacturing industry, ideally in the home improvement sector.
  • Basic working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
  • B2C retail marketing experience.
  • A relevant Marketing qualification (Degree equivalent or CIM).
