Job Description

Maintenance Team Leader (Earlies and Lates Shift Pattern) Wakefield, West YorkshireTo £37,950 (including shift premium) + OVERTIME + generous additional benefits Our Wakefield based client specialises in the design, development and implementation of automated materials handling solutions for supply throughout the UK and Europe, and as a result of an ongoing success and continued programme of planned strategic growth,they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Maintenance Team Leader to be responsible for the delivery of all engineering service KPIs within a busy automated 24/5 warehouse and distribution centre environment.Reporting to the Site Manager and working on an earlies and lates basis (6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday with a flexible approach to supporting occasional shift changes where necessary to meet operational demands), the successful Maintenance TeamLeader candidate will be responsible for supporting the day to day management of a multidiscipline engineering team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of key service elements such as PPM, fault rectification and fault eradication and delivering written andverbal communications at all levels and fully interacting with the customer on a day to day basis.Tasked with sustaining continuous improvement on site with the team, you will liaise with fellow members of the engineering team to ensure consistency and best practice whilst complying with Health and Safety legislation and working within H&S guidelinesand processes and conducting regular H&S audits of processes and equipment when required.Qualified to at least HNC level or above in a relevant engineering discipline or able to demonstrate at least 5 years previous experience in a maintenance team leader capacity, you will possess comprehensive H&S experience and excellent IT and communicationskills (both verbal and written) to ensure effective liaison with both internal and external customers and suppliers with previous CMS experience proving distinctly advantageous.Additionally, you will possess essential diplomatic skills, as all decisions made on site are done so with the customer in mind and ensuring they receive a world class customer service, so you will embrace the team culture endorsed by their customer andeffectively be able to analyse under high pressure and difficult situations and resolve issues accordingly.You will be able to understand teams strengths and weakness and through coaching and mentoring, maximise your teams performance whilst always striving for excellence and best practice in all tasks that are undertaken.To be considered for this varied and challenging role, you will be comfortable in working at heights and demonstrate proven experience gained within an automation or distribution centre environment with at least five years experience of supervising maintenanceteams as well as excellent all round engineering skills in both Electrical and Mechanical disciplines, and be able to undertake technical fault finding and repair activities whilst coordinating the activities of a busy team and both implementing and sustaininga continuous improvement and H&S focussed culture.Do you possess the relevant hands-on skills and supervisory experience required to be successful in this position Then contact the Maintenance Team at Premier Technical Recruitment on or email your cv in confidence to for further details and a confidentialdiscussion regarding your requirements.
