Job Description

Estimator - Windows & DoorsJob Title: Estimator - Windows & DoorsIndustry Sector: Windows, Doors, Sash Windows, Casement Windows, Bifold Doors, French Doors, Sliding Doors, Front Doors, Aluminium Windows, Aluminium Doors, Timber Windows, Timber DoorsLocation: Leeds or surrounding areasRemuneration: £25,000 - £30,000Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits PackageThe role of the Estimator - Windows & Doors will involve:

  • Estimating Manager position dealing with a high end manufactured range of timber, uPVC and aluminium windows and doors into the residential and commercial sectors
  • Analyse and interpret technical drawings to gain an understanding of the specification
  • Liaise regularly with design teams and clients to ensure amendments are made where needed
  • Amending any costs / quotes as required
  • Produce formal quotations for clients and follow up
  • Building and developing relationships with new and existing clients
  • Providing technical advice around the product range
  • Inputting all relevant information onto internal database
  • Ensure that workloads are prioritised to meet deadlines
  • Producing estimates for projects ranging in value from £10k to £2m+
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator - Windows & Doors experience with:
  • Must have Estimating experience working in the windows and doors market sector
  • Ideally will have uPVC experience however other fenestration experience such as timber, aluminium etc will be considered
  • Must have a sound understanding of building regulations
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Team player with a positive outlook
  • Motivated, proactive, and driven individual
  • Must be commercially aware and cost focused
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
