My client, an FMCG manufacturer, are looking for a Design Draughtsman to join their growing team of engineers. On offer is a generous package with prospects for career progression. The appointed design draughtsman will have good knowledge of general assembly and production drawings and excellent 2D and 3D CAD skills.***THIS IS INITIALLY A 6 TO 8 MONTH CONTRACT ROLE***Design Draughtsman Skills and Experience- Minimum 4 years experience working in a design based role- The ability to achieve detailed 3D drawings using AutoCAD & Solidworks- Good working knowledge of sheet and strip steel manufacturing processesDesign Draughtsman Role and Responsibilities- Drawing customer specified products to a high standard- Liaising with customers technical departments either by phone, email or in person at meetings- Producing multi-level bills of materials (BOMs) and information for shop floor manufacture and assembly- Revising designs where necessary and in accordance with the customers needs e.g. prototypes- Liaising with production planners to agree deadlines and prioritise work accordinglyDesign Draughtsman, Design Engineer, CAD, FMCG, Heavy, Solidworks Required skills
