  • Design, create, test and document new and amended web sites, web applications, mobile apps, and automations from specifications in accordance with agreed standards.
  • This will include the specification and design of information systems to meet defined business needs, coding of the solution, appropriate testing, documentation and implementation.
  • Any solution needs to include compatibility with enterprise and solution architectures, and the adherence to corporate standards within constraints of cost, security and sustainability.
  • In addition to design and coding, most digital developers will be required to elicit and document the specification of business requirements to a level that enables effective delivery of agreed changes and implement the incremental and logical integration and testing of components and/or subsystems and their interfaces in order to create operational services. Core Responsibilities
  • Works closely with the business to establish requirements for new or amended systems.
  • Designs, codes, tests, corrects and documents large and/or complex programs and program modifications from specifications using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result.
  • Takes technical responsibility for all stages in the software development process.
  • Takes part in reviews of own work and reviews of colleagues work.
  • Provides advice, guidance and assistance to less experienced colleagues as required.
  • Works with Application Support Analysts to Investigate, establish root cause and remediate operational incidents.
  • Investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes and organisation.
    • Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Sitecore highly desirable
  • Specific Technical Application Development skills in one or more languages including a subset of Java, C# (asp.net), php, objective C, python, React Knowledge
  • Experience of some of the flowing: MVC, CSS, Design patterns, Sharepoint, Sitecore or similar CMS, Low code solutions (especially Outsystems), RPA Solutions (especially UI Path)
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment with SCRUM Knowledge of good quality processes including code review, unit test, coding standards, appropriate documentation. Knowledge of one or more formal development methodologies.
  • Understanding, analysis & interpretation of Data Effective Communication, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical people.
  • Effectively managing own workload. Delivering Results Education / Qualifications

    • Qualifications:
  • Minimum bachelors degree or commensurate experience required with emphasis in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems Management.
