Corporate Tax Manager - Wakefield or York

Job Description

We are working closely with a modern and well-respected firm of Chartered Accountants, assisting with their search for a Corporate Tax Manager to join their team, at either their Wakefield or York office.Established over 10 years ago, this firm is a fantastic success story, having grown significantly since inception to now offering their clients a range of services including Audit, Tax, Accountancy and Outsourcing. This two-site firm has a wide range ofindividuals working for them and they are now keen to expand their existing team.About the role:

  • Preparation and review of complex tax computations for large companies and companies requiring audit.
  • Review complex tax computations prepared by the Business Services team.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and discuss these with clients.
  • Managing tax planning projects i.e., corporate restructuring, creation of groups, corporate finance tax due diligence
  • Dealing with QIPs and group tax calculations
  • Form strong long-term relationships with clients to ensure the long-term success of the firm.
  • Liaise with HMRC and third parties.
About the candidate:
  • Ability to maintain client relationships and explain complex tax planning/transactions to them in a clear and succinct way.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge in a range of areas within Corporate Tax.
  • Previous experience of advisory and planning work for corporate entities would be desirable.
  • Must be able to drive with access to own vehicle to facilitate onside working and client meetings.
  • CTA or ATT qualified with relevant Practice experience.

  • Can be based at either the Wakefield or York office.
  • Hybrid and fleible working available.
  • 35 hour working week.
