The position involves a senior role within the Group Management Team, responsible for the Nationwide functioning of the Groups contracting operations.The successful candidate would be expected to be experienced in civil engineering groundworks and to have a proven record in managing site operatives.This candidate would assume overall control of matters relating to quality, health and safety and training, in a permanent salaried staff position that offers potential for development within a successful Group of Companies.SALARY: £50 to 55,000 per annum, payable monthly in arrears.BONUS: A bonus calculated at a rate of £0.10 per m of paving installed, handed over and paid for (current annual budget indication 45,000m)COMPANY VEHICLE: A Ford Ranger Cab-back pick up, with remuneration of fuel costs for business use excluding travel from home to office in accordance with HMRC rules.HOLIDAYS: 23 days annual leave of which 3 days shall be taken to coincide with the industry shutdown between Christmas and New Year. In addition all statutory public holidays will be honoured.SICKNESS: 2 week full paid leave per annum followed by a further period of 2 weeks at half pay.PENSION: A provision of 5% in addition to salary to be paid into a nominated pension. With yourself to contribute 5% as required of the Workplace Pensions Regulations.HEALTH CARE: Cover for self, subject to health check, provided by our third party scheme.Pre-contractDevelopment and monitoring of training plans for skills and health and safety Planning labour requirements and programming gangs Maintaining industry standard compliance for quality and health and safety Co-ordination with CITB and training authorities for grant aiding Liaison with Sales Manager for programming and contract profiles Site surveys with Quantity Surveyor or Sales Manager for full package works Pre-let meeting attendance Pre-commencement site visit Generate site specific risk assessment
