Buyer - FMCG/RetailWest Yorkshire £30,000 - £35,000 Do you have proven experience in Procurement or Buying working within an FMCG or retail environmentWhether your background is Retail or FMCG manufacturing supplying into retail, this role represents a fantastic opportunity to develop your Procurement skills and take ownership of your own portfolio of products and suppliers.Want to find out more… Read on! What does the role involve

  • Buying both raw materials and sourcing finished goods for your assigned category
  • Providing procurement support for NPD (New Product Development) projects
  • Negotiating prices and commercial terms with suppliers
  • Building value-adding supplier relationships with key suppliers
  • Delivering cost saving through effective procurement strategies and VA/VE

Ideal Skills and Experience
  • Previous Procurement or Buying experience in FMCG or Retail
  • Proven track record in Procurement and/or New Product Development (own brand or private label)
  • Strong commercial acumen and confident negotiation skills
  • Great communication and stakeholder engagement to be able to work collaboratively
  • Excellent analytical skills, ideally with good working knowledge of Excel
  • Drive and ambition to further develop your career in Procurement
