Elevation Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working alongside an international industrial services business based in Wakefield. It is an exciting time for this organisation and due to continued growth, they are looking for an Assistant ManagementAccountant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.Supporting the Management Accountant, who reports to the Group Finance Controller, together with supporting the wider finance team. Although AAT or part CIMA/ACCA qualified would be an advantage this opportunity would be ideally suited to somebody who is happyworking within a support role and is willing to learn new processes. Duties & Responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant: * Circulate weekly and sales forecast to Headquarters* Assist with the preparation of annual budgets for the company* Review the monthly spends, identify the drivers behind the spend and recommend actions for improvement* Income Statement commentary first draft at month ends* Assist with cashflow outlook, Weekly + Monthly* Bank reconciliations daily, ensuring no unallocated cash not posted* Goods receipts not invoiced reconciled monthly - checked and items written off* VAT returns reconciled monthly, and necessary checks performed* Lease accounts reconciled monthly + invoices posted* Recharge accounts cleared down monthly* Assist with the audit process* Assist with the preparation of annual budgets for the company* Completion of National Statistics forms* Journal postings / Double entry* Researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely fashionKey Skills & Experience Required: * Studying AAT, or part qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA* Experience working to monthly deadlines, good working knowledge of accounts function and month end process* A calm, "can-do" attitude, with a good sense of humour* Good, appropriate, across the board communication skills, face to face, on the phone, and on emailElevation Accountancy Support is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment focusing on Accountancy Support positions in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
