Job Description

Leading fashion retailer are seeking an Assistant Buyer to assist the Buyer to source, develop, buy, and deliver a specific range of products at the right cost, right time, and the right place to achieve the Companys gross profit.Main Areas of Accountability· Assist in all aspects of supplier management and correspondence.· Assist in all aspects of Web / Catalogue sample management.· Any other ad hoc duties as required.· Have a full understanding of QA processes and deadlines with reference to critical path. Provides feedback on issues and suggests solutions.· Attend and assist selected internal and external supplier meetings and ensure detailed minutes are taken and adapt appropriate questioning in order to ascertain suppliers suitability.· Gather, analyse and interpret product, market and customer information to establish UK trend alongside Buyer/Assistant.· Undertaking regular benchmarking / competition reporting.· Assists in the preparation of internal meetings including Product Framework, Selection, Sign-Off, Review and trade meetings.· Attend various grade stores producing qualitative store reports to the Buying and Merchandising team.· To attend and complete selected internal & external training courses as required.· Manages daily and weekly workload of BAA including prioritising tasks and actively delegating where necessary.· Actively manages critical path process alongside merchandising team and progress all aspects of the critical path and providing feedback· Proactively implements best practice procedures for the department· Chase and approve Lab dips and Accessories.Requirements· Price Negotiations· Managing the Range plan from the buying side, making sure that all information is correct, including factory info, cost prices, fabric compositions and weights· A good understanding of sales figures and able to identify best & worst.
