An amazing opportunity to work within a special school located in the lovely town, Chard. All pupils have a Special Educational Need as their primary need, as well as sensory and nurturing needs. Their curriculum is written to meet the aims of pupils with SEN and they aim for each and every one of their pupils to achieve their potential.The head teacher is looking for a kind, confident individual that will be willing to get stuck in and ready to take practical steps to run classroom activities while also having the confidence to take on supervisory roles. You must be mouldable and be ready to learn on the job and to take instruction.Previous experience isnt essential as training will be given by the school. The school are more looking for someone who is motivated and compassionate. With it being an SEN school candidates must be resilient and patient and be prepared to deal with anytasks thrown your way.Your day to day tasks will include offering classroom support, where you may lead small group interventions or 1:1 work. You will be expected to support with planning activities around the curriculum, this could include outdoor learning, creative play oreven the use of books and other resources.
