Job Description

Shift Engineer - Building Maintenance (Electrical)Vauxhall, London, UKWe are currently recruiting an experienced Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work in the UK Headquarters on behalf of an American multinational technology company that specializes in consumer electronics, computer software, and online services. Theworlds largest technology company by revenue and, since January 2021, the worlds most valuable company.The Shift Engineer will have experience working in a corporate environment and providing exceptional service in a client facing role.Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.The Shift pattern is Days and Nights. (7-7 -> 12 Hour Shifts). The Shift pattern is 7 shifts in 14 Days which repeats itself, example below;MONTUEWEDTHURFRISATSUNWK 1DDDDDWK2NNWK3NNNDDWK4DDResponsibilities You will:

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance and extra works/emergencies in accordance with the contract requirements on Mechanical Services and associated systems
  • A key success factor in the Shift Technicians role is communication, particularly in reporting plant problems / failures that may impact on the clients business.
  • Ensure that all plant and BMS checks are completed on time, and all problems found are recorded and communicated to the Shift Leader
  • Carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems.
  • Be proactive with regard to preventative maintenance and good site husbandry.
  • Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Helpdesk related reactive maintenance issues, associated with the mechanical infrastructure and the heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipe work and associated mechanical systemsor as directed.
  • Repairs of electrical and mechanical systems, controls and associated systems.
RequirementsYou will have:
  • Previous experience working as Electrical Engineer, experienced on Industrial, Commercial & Domestic manufacturers systems, carrying out PPMs in line with SFG20 or equivalent with advanced fault finding diagnostic experience.
  • 18th Edition IEE Regulations
  • Experienced in the Electrical aspects of general building Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules
  • Competent working knowledge of Air Handling Units, Building Management Systems, Air Conditioning equipment, Cold Water systems, Heating and Ventilation systems, Water Treatment UPS, and Emergency Generators
  • Ideally all candidates should have undertaken an electrical apprenticeship
  • IOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable)
  • Safe system of Work Procedure - PTW; RAMS etc (Desirable)
  • L8 Training (Desirable)
