Job Description

Job Purpose and Summary The Digital Print & Solutions division (DP&S) operates across Western Europe and is central to the profitability of Canon Europe annually. Key to the objective of hiring these two financial reporting specialists is the development and provision of key businessreporting and insights via automated Oracle reporting solutions for the business unit and to support and develop tools for forecast, budget and reporting purposes.They will create necessary reports required to provide insights into the performance of the business across Western Europe (14 territories) and support effective decision making. They will help to create a more robust reporting environment, with less manualinput meaning less errors. They will also enable centralisation of financial reporting in the division and undertake other systems related projects as the reporting becomes more sophisticated.We require peoplewith a strong finance background either Qual, PQ or QBEas the role deals with Financial Controllers, Finance Directors, Country Managers, Business Controllers etc across Europe and therefore understanding the context of the reporting iscritical to those successful relationships.(These roles are known internally as Finance BI Specialists)What we giveWith Canon, youll get the support and encouragement you need to grow, from people who share your ambition.   • Generation and distribution of financial reports ensuring that they can be efficiently and flexibly generated and are shared in the most efficient manner, using the most appropriate IT tools. Run reports in line with the pre-agreed schedule, check anddistribute. Support development of DP&S budgets, mid-term plans and forecasts covering revenues, costs, headcount SGA, productivity and profit.
  • Design and development of reports working with the business and other members of the finance team to understand reporting needs and design reports to meet such needs.
  • Best use our reporting tools (we use Essbase, Hyperion, Oracle Analytics) and help define and support the implementation of new Oracle reporting tools.Support and develop financial planning tools and provide support for the existing Hyperion implementation, work with IT and others to develop new capabilities and improve take-up and take part in ad hoc projects as and when required.
What we askKey candidate requirements:Core financial backgroundwith significant technical skills in reporting tools, enterprise platforms, data analytics and data management tools for reporting purposes.
