Job Description

Finance Manager (12 Month FTC Mat Cover) South Manchester (Hybrid Working) £55,000 - £65,000Axon Moore are representing a truly innovative, market leading business who are light years ahead of their competitors. Due to Mat Cover, the company need to recruit a qualified and experienced Finance Manager. The role is to manage the production and delivery of all financial reporting and compliance requirements for the Group. The key purpose is to maintain, develop and implement group wide accounting policies and procedures to ensure that statutory reporting istimely and accurate. This role is highly technical and the successful candidate will be responsible for all statutory accounts, VAT, corporate tax and other external regulatory filings. You will provide guidance on technical financial matters to the wider accounts team and actas the go-to member of the finance team with regards to all financial compliance matters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare/review the Group consolidation
  • Prepare statutory accounts (inc all disclosures) from first to final draft
  • Prepare/review management papers ensuring appropriate documentation and supporting evidence (impairment, going concern, Key sources of estimation uncertainty and judgement)
  • Assist in the year end audit process
  • Liaise with local accountants to ensure that statutory accounts in overseas subsidiaries are prepared in accordance with local deadlines and relevant accounting standards
  • Reconcile locally prepared accounts to Group ERP, providing explanations for all variances and ensure resolved before local sign off
  • Review and sign off Group level intercompany and related party reconciliations and disclosures
  • Review and critique judgemental provision workings prepared by overseas teams to ensure adherence with group policies.
  • Manage the monthly ledger close procedures
  • Develop trusted relationships with internal and external networks including group wide audit and tax teams
  • Ensure foreign subsidiaries adhere to the agreed timetable and that local and group systems are reconciled on a regular basis
  • Lead internal compliance meetings to ensure that financial requirements are suitably understood and adhered to
  • Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are carried out, reviewed and required adjustments made
  • Provide support with balance sheet reconciliation review process, ensuring that issues identified are addressed and corrective action taken
