Job Description

Job title: MentorPay: £25,000 paJob description:Recruit Mint Education has partnered up with a well-established growing company to appoint highly motivated and passionate individual to join their team and provide individual support to pupils with medical needs in care. The successful candidate will playa critical role in helping pupils with medical conditions to succeed in their studies, achieve their goals and overcome any challengethey may face.Job responsibilities:

  • Work closely with pupils and their carers to provide individualised support, guidance and encouragement
  • Provide mentorship to pupils with medical conditions that may require individual attention
  • Assist pupils with planning and prioritising their workloads to ensure they can balance their medical needs with academic responsibilities
  • Provide support to pupils during period of absence from school due to medical reasons, including the development of personalised study plans and the provision of materials and resources
  • Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and the other support staff to ensure that pupils with medical conditions receive the necessary accomodations, support and resources
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to pupils and their families on academic performance, behaviour and medial needs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress, mentorship sessions, and communication with families and staff
Job requirements:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a positive relationship with pupils, families and colleagues
  • A strong understanding of the medical needs of the pupils and Individual Healthcare Plans (IHPs)
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • A willingness to undertake training and development to enhance mentorship skills
