Summary Were looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Cook to join our team here at Sheringham.This is a 12 month fixed term role with the possibility of being made permanent in the future. What its like to work here Wander through Sheringham Park and youll discover why it became the personal favourite of its designer, Humphry Repton. Visit the Repton exhibition to see the story of his 1812 design during a turbulent period of history.Famous for its vast collection of rhododendrons and azaleas, the last owner, Tom Upcher, would hold rhododendron champagne parties in the 1950s to show them off. Ladies would arrive in their fine gowns, some wearing Wellington boots to walk down the main carriageway, sipping champagne and admiring the colours.Today, you can climb to the top of the towers to experience breathtaking views of this beautiful landscape, the North Norfolk coast and maybe a steam train passing through. What youll be doing With your passion for food and your appetite to provide an exceptional service to your customers, you’ll work with the National Trust Cookbook framework to prepare delicious food. Working with local produce youll always be looking for ways to minimise waste and control costs and resources. With your attention to detail you’ll ensure each dish is fresh, tasty and beautifully presented every time.As a key member of our busy Food & Beverage team, you’ll make sure the team is working effectively to deliver great results. You may also be required, on occasions to supervise volunteers.You’ll help the Food & Beverage team ensure our kitchens are presented to the highest standard and are compliant with all relevant legislation around food hygiene and COSHH.The National Trust ethos will always be at the forefront of your mind, and youll be proud to share our good work with our customers, you’ll look to maximise sales with new ideas so that the profit can be reinvested back into our conservation work.Please also read the full role profile, attached to this advert.
