Established family-run Plant Retail Centre, Upper CaldecoteSeeking a Plant Centre Assistant Manager to join the team - assisting the manager in the day-to-day running of the centre.The Job:Duties will include:Providing an excellent standard of customer service.Ensuring that the plants are well displayed and kept in good condition.Ensuring the Centre is well presented.Assisting with incoming deliveries and merchandising stock.Management of EPOS SystemServing in-store customers, operation of electronic till (EPOS)Processing online orders for home delivery.Answering customers’ questions and providing advice.Reporting sales figures and stock levels.Assisting in other areas of the business as required.The Person: All the staff in the nursery & retail centres are keen plants people, so it is essential to have some knowledge and a passion for horticulture. Some training in horticulture, experience working in a nursery/garden centre, or experience as a keen gardener would be an advantage, as would retail experience. Good communication and customer service skills are essential.Days/Hours:The Centre is open 8am-4pm Monday-Saturday, Sunday 10am-4pmHours to be agreed - Core hours required, with flexibility for cover.Full Time: 4 weekdays plus alternate weekends, including all Bank Holiday weekends.Part Time: 2 or 3 weekdays plus alternate weekends and including all Bank Holiday weekends Required skills
