Job Description

2 x Female Support Workers/Child Therapy Assistants (Ref: EMW5)(Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9)Location: Sketty, SwanseaHours per week:10 hours for both positions(There is a possibility that the posts could be combined to offer 20 hours per week)Working Pattern - Post 1: 7am - 12am: Tuesday & Thursday during term time (flexible in school holidays)Working Pattern - Post 2: 5pm - 7pm: Monday - Friday (once a month will include a weekend shift)Pay:

  • Weekday (7am to 11pm) = £12.6
  • Weekends/Bank Holidays (7am to 11pm) = £12.60
At Case Management Cymru we provide highly professional, bespoke case management to adults and children with a range of life changing conditions/injuries. We pride ourselves on delivering a specialist service that recognises the uniqueness of every client;all with very different aspirations and challenges.Ability to drive with use of a car is essential.We are looking for a warm, patient and reliable individual to work alongside the family to support and facilitate the independence of a 7-year-old girl who sustained a brain injury as a baby.Our client needs assistance with her morning and after school routines and will be transported to school in the Sketty area of Swansea where she requires support during her morning session. After school she enjoys attending local amenities such as the leisurecentre and at times it may be necessary to work additional hours depending on the activities that the client wishes to attend. Support is also required for our client to enable her parents to have time away from their caring role.The Support Worker will also work with independent therapists in enabling the client to participate in effective neuro rehabilitation. The successful candidate will encourage and support her to access all these opportunities and more.Experience of working with children and /or challenging behaviour is essential. Full induction and training specific to the child will be provided.This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check.Closing date: 29th June 2022
