Job Description

We are currently recruiting for 2 x Warehouse Assistants/Delivery Drivers to join a well-established, independent high-end retailer, based at their Uckfield site.Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 depending on experience + 20 days holiday/company pension schemeHours: 7am - 3pm/8am - 4pm (hours will vary depending on daily workload)What will your working week involveWorking within a small but busy team, you will be moving/lifting and assembling very heavy products and therefore, need to be strong and physically fit to do so. A full, clean driving license will also be required.You will have previous experience working within a similar role and ideally hold a forklift licence, although this is not essential.Warehouse duties will include:

  • Picking, checking, packing and dispatching customer orders, ensuring the business provides an excellent service to all its customers
  • Loading and unloading of deliveries
  • Checking in supplier deliveries and putting away stock
  • Processing and filing paperwork associated with picking, collection and dispatch functions
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working area and ensure that a good level of Health and Safety
Delivery driving will include:
  • Loading furniture, ready for daily deliveries
  • Driving to customer homes to deliver goods, unloading vehicle and assembling furniture when required
Who will suit this role
  • Must have previous experience of working in Goods In/out/Warehouse environment.
  • Good numerical skills
  • Good PC skills
  • Strong time management ability
  • Physically fit (heavy lifting will be involved)
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Hard working
  • Forklift licence would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
