Materials Manager required for a leading manufacturing business to join their busy purchasing and quotation teams. In this role you will oversee and manage all planning activities related to materials management and inventory control in the manufacturingenvironment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the electronics component industry, although this is not essential. You will be hard working and highly motivated, with the capability of maintaining proper inventory levels of raw materialsand finished goods to support the business objectives.Main Responsibilities:To monitor the expediting of purchase ordersMonitoring and reviewing contract orders and buffer stockReviewing goods in and problem parts spreadsheets and resolving any issues detailed on these reportsTo maintain and report to the directors on a regular basis, company stock processesStock management, incorporating slow moving stock, residual stock, buffer stocks and Min/Max stocksRegular liaison with customers, suppliers and internal management via telephone and face to faceRequired Skills:People management skillsGood verbal and written communicationGood understanding of Excel and WordAble to work within a team and independentlyAbility to work under pressure
