Job Description

UI/UX Designer Im currently recruiting for a highly-innovative company based in the North East, who design best-in-class products within the Virtual Reality simulation space. They truly are at the forefront of their field, pushing the boundaries of whats possible whenyou combine Virtual Reality with Artificial Intelligence technologies.After receiving significant investment in the least year, they are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to join their expanding team in the North East. Their office is based in Gateshead, but you will have the flexibility to work from home or the officeas much as you like.As a UI/UX Designer, you will ensure that all of their VR products are design-led and built with the optimum user experience in mind. Youll work closely with clients and team members to requirements, and will design and propose visual concepts to describeend-to-end product experiences. You will create personas, user journeys and site maps, as well as creating wireframes, prototypes and user flows, working in an Agile environment.You will really champion design best-practices and apply these to all of the work that the team do, and collaborate with teams of software developers, QA people, project managers and others as part of the project lifecycle.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced UI/UX Designer to join a company who are truly at the forefront of their field, and pushing the boundaries of whats possible within the VR world.Please note that you will be required to submit a portfolio showcasing your UI/UX skills and demonstrating a high level of artistic creativity as part to be considered for this role.Requirements:

  • 3+ years of design experience in simulation software, games industry or similar
  • Knowledge of best practices in design and Agile processes
  • Experience with VR and product visualisation including Axure, InVision, OmniGraffle, Visio, Sketch and the Adobe product suite
  • Ability to collaborate and work well as part of a results-oriented, remote team.
  • Be able to demonstrate initiative, determination, high quality output and excellent communication skills
  • Must be based in North East England
