MTrecs New Opportunity;MTrec Technical are proudly representing our world leading High Value Engineering Solutions Provider, based in Tyne & Wear, with their plans for growth and expansion by recruiting a Permanent Testing Supervisor to join their organisation. A successful candidatewill be responsible for the efficient running of testing programs and FAT on-site.   • A Test Supervisor is at the heart of our operations, ensuring not only the efficient running of the testing programs, but also the balance of our multi-disciplined workforce.
  • Responsible for the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of our hydrogen refuelling stations leading a multidiscipline team of PLC engineers and mechanical technicians
  • You will have responsibility for achieving our production targets and meeting our project schedules, developing and implementing continuous improvement.
  • Managing a team of up to 12 employees, you will have responsibility for leading and motivating them to achieve project milestone targets in a deadline driven environment.
  • Holding start of shift meetings with the wider operations team to outline the days activities whilst reporting on issues.
  • Responsible for working with the QEHS manager to develop, maintain and adhere to strict risk assessments whilst all pressure testing is carried out.
  • Managing third party contractors on the test site.
  • Providing progress reports to the approvals manager for project tracking.
  • Responsible for COPQ reporting to help achieve business KPIs.
  • Standardisation of continuous improvement in all areas.
  • Management, motivation and development of staff.
About You;
  • Ideally qualified to Degree or HND level in either a mechanical or an electrical discipline.
  • Proven track record of people management experience gained within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work under pressure within a high performance, fast moving environment
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working in a project styled business
  • Operating within exacting time, quality and cost constraints.
  • Lean Manufacturing principles/Kaizen practices/Just in time exposure.
  • Experience in leading a multidiscipline team.
