Job Description

MTrec’s new career opportunityOur clients are specialists in their market sector, they are looking for a skilled Maintenance Shift Lead to join their team on a permanent basis.The Job you’ll do

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager a Maintenance Shift Lead will be required to organise and coordinate all day to day maintenance activity, ensuring preventive maintenance is completed to plan and that reactive maintenance is completed in a safe, timelyand effective manner.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum and repairs are closed out in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop the Maintenance Millwrights and Electricians, offering technical support and guidance.
  • Develop and standardise planned maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure all major breakdowns are investigated fully to identify the root cause, subsequently develop reoccurrence prevention plans.
  • Be responsible for effective maintenance response and utilise labour to minimise operational downtime.
  • Converse with suppliers and manufacturers for ordering parts or for technical advice.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is maintained and stored correctly.
  • Deputise for senior maintenance engineer/maintenance manager if/when required.
  • Ensure that you work in a safe manner and comply with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
  • Carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.
About You
  • The successful candidate must have experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, possess excellent communication skills and have a mechanical, electrical, electronic or software background with a good working knowledge of the other disciplines.
  • They must also be organised, be self-motivated and have a hands on approach to problem solving.
