MTrecs New Opportunity;MTrec Technical are proudly representing our world leading High Value Engineering Solutions Provider, based in Tyne & Wear, with their plans for growth and expansion by recruiting a Permanent Lead Commissioning Engineer to join their organisation. A successfulcandidate will be responsible for leading their site acceptance testing of their products on a global scale.   • Lead and mentor up to 16 commissioning engineers.
  • Planning and scoping of technical solutions in order to deliver successful site acceptance testing (SAT) of our state of the art products globally.
  • Liaising with the customer to clarify any technical questions and problems during the SAT process, particularly circumstances requiring customer approval.
  • Providing Hands-on Electrical & Technical support throughout the testing program and other internal functions throughout the Factory.
  • You will be working with electric/mechanical installations, fault finding and repair of PLC controlled machinery, ideally heavy industry/manufacturing environments.
  • Be a Technical Liaison between internal Design Teams, customers and quality teams.
  • Diagnose Electrical Problems/Inspect Electrical Wiring & Assemblies.
  • Support with Factory Acceptance Test procedures.
  • Working with machinery in a hazardous area environment.
  • Attending sites across the world to aid in the testing of our products.
About You;
  • Degree, HND or HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Design experience of PLC based Control Systems
  • Strong Change Management experience
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, electrical schematics and interface specifications
  • Siemans TIA portal experience
  • A critical thinker with superb problem analysis and solving skills
  • Proven success as a technical team leader
  • Open to opinions of others and constructively discusses solutions to find the best one
  • Managing third party contractors on sites.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
  • Open minded and willing to learn
