Job Description

TYNE & WEAR (Ref 635) PERMANENT£30K with career progression & opportunity for fully funded training & qualifications!Our client is a fast growing North East business, and as a result have created a new role for a Group HR Officer. The HR team are fantastic, work really well together and are very supportive. Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you will:

  • Provide practical advice and guidance to managers and employees in relation to policies and procedures
  • Support mangers with formal and Informal proceedings including investigations, disciplinary’s, absence review, grievance hearings, capability including occupational health
  • Carry out and review exit interviews, feeding back to Department Heads and collating feedback quarterly
  • Support with Policy Development by developing, updating HR policies and procedures
  • Support with Employee Engagement: Developing strategies to improve employee satisfaction and engagement
  • Retention strategies - work with the Group HR Manager developing and implementing strategies to retain key employees and reduce turnover
Person Specification
  • CIPD Qualified minimum Level 3
  • Experience of managing Employee relations cases
  • Experience of advising Line Managers on all aspects of HR
  • Experience of policy and procedural advice in relation to formal and informal proceedings, investigations, disciplinary’s, absence management, grievance, capability and occupational health
  • Experience of HR Administration processes and procedures
  • Confident in working with stakeholders at all levels within the business
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Confidential, discreet and diplomatic approach
  • Ability to work towards shared goals and objectives
  • Experience of demonstrating effective teamworking within a commercial environment
