Job Description

MTrecs new career opportunity Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking to recruit a Graduate Electronics Design Engineer on a permanent basis.Our client are ideally looking for a graduate who has a couple of years industry experience.The Job youll do

  • As a Design Engineer with a hardware bias, you will be expected to take full ownership of a design workstream in line with the product specification.
  • An agile approach to development is required to maintain flexibility in line with business dynamics and changing market requirements.
  • There is a clear need to operate within resource boundaries, delivering on budget, on time and on specification.
  • Risk assessment will factor into recommended actions formed from the analysis of key test data.
  • You will be expected to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best in class testing equipment for the water analysis sector.
  • There is a clear requirement to grow your skillset in line with demands of the business. Research of new, emerging technologies and assessment of their use cases in client products.
  • Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Design of electronics system and firmware (C) in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Experience of development tools including Schematic Capture, PCB design, CAD and Compilers.
  • Drive design for manufacture and lead FMEA.
  • Design for cost and efficiency.
  • Determination of legislative requirements.
  • Product Approvals and Design Validation.
  • Analyse results and present findings.
  • Making plans and producing detailed drawings.
  • Analyse risk and make firm recommendations.
  • Presentation of findings.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to gather requirements.
About You
  • Honors Degree in a suitable engineering discipline.
  • Ideally at least three years of demonstratable experience in an electronics or firmware development environment.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communicator with both written and verbal media.
  • Strong influencer - persuasive skills to help facilitate projects in a timely manner with minimal setbacks.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility at all levels - both internally and externally.
  • While knowledge of client products and applications are an advantage the ability to learn fast is imperative.
