Job Description

The CompanyOur client is a market leader in their sector. As part of this growth they are now looking for a motivated CNC Machinist who is looking to grasp an outstanding career opportunity, and help a business grow and improve.The Role

  • Operate machines to required quality standards and in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Programme machines to produce single, small batch or a series of components and finished products.
  • Work with a range of materials including exotic materials, nickel, super alloys, stainless steel, brass, duplex and aluminium.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and work with imperial and metric measures to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Use a range of measuring equipment and have a working knowledge of inspection procedures in order to undertake self-inspection.
  • Work as part of the machine shop team and interface with the production support departments including production control, engineering, and maintenance.
  • Operate computer systems for the recording of work activities.
  • Support the training of apprentices and trainees.
  • Ensure that you work in a safe manner and comply with the companys Health, Safety & Environmental Policy.
  • To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.
The Person
  • Time served with programming experience is essential, ideally mazak controls.
  • Specific 5-axis experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Good knowledge of production processes and systems is essential.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong and proven problem solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive, innovative and motivated approach to their work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with time constraints.
  • Ability to organise priorities to meet deadlines.
