Development Chemist - Personal careWest Yorkshire£25,000 - £32,000Search Scientific are recruiting for a Development Chemist with previous experience in the formulation of personal care products to join a leading manufacturer of cosmetics & toiletries. Developing & manufacturing a range of branded & 3rd party products fora range of household brands & major retailers, they are looking to add to their team in West Yorkshire due to continued success. ResponsibilitiesThis position will be responsible for the development & formulation of 3rd party cosmetics, personal care & toiletries for major retailers with a particular focus on hair & skin care. Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading NPD projects, ensuring timely delivery to the market.
• Liaising closely with clients to consult, brief & agree on product specifications.
• Leading scale - up and providing product support to the manufacturing teams.
• Identify, source & validate new raw materials as requires.
• Assisting with the regulatory compliance process.

Requirements

• A degree or relevant qualification in Chemistry or a related field.
• Proven experience in the formulation of Personal care, Cosmetics, Toiletries, Home care or similar products.
  • Previous experience with 3rd party manufacturing would be advantageous.
• Strong sense of urgency and able to drive work forward to meet targets and timelines
• Ability to travel locally & internationally on occasion to meet with clients.
