Job Description

We are an independent, innovative, and leading provider of architectural design, planning and construction consultancy across the midlands and beyond. Our projects range from individual residential properties, including individual new homes and extension/refurbishment projects, to large commercial and development projects.We are based in Tutbury, Staffordshire inside the listed Charity House building in the heart of the small rural village. Established in 2009 by Director Rob Turner, we support homeowners and businesses with a variety of services to see all projects through from start to finish.Due to our growing success we are looking to recruit an experienced Architectural Technician to join the practice on a full time basis.Prospective candidates will have:

  • Degree qualification as an Architectural Technician
  • Minimum of 5 years UK based experience
  • Excellent verbal & written communications
  • Highly confident to work on new schemes with minimum supervision
  • Excellent design skills and attention to detail
  • Highly experienced in UK building techniques
  • High level of knowledge of current UK building regulations
  • Experience with UK planning applications
  • Full Driving License
    • Essential Software skills including:AutoCad 2DAuto Cad RevitSketchupMicrosoft Office productsDesirable skills:Photoshop- AbodeLumionIllustrator - AbodeSocial MediaResponsibilities will include:
  • Production of planning stage drawings and documentation
  • Production of construction stage working drawings, schedules, room data etc
  • Carrying out site visits and measured building surveys
  • Proactively managing communications with all parties involved, including local planning department, external consultants, and clients
  • Arranging and managing third-party reports and design elements on a project by project basis.
  • Answering technical queries arising during the construction phase
    • Salary and benefits:£32,000.00 - £50,000.00 Full Time Salary (subject to experience)
