Job Description

Supply Teacher wanted for super school in TredegarFull TimeMonday to Friday £148.04 a day Teaching Personnel are working closely with a super school located in Tredegar to recruit a Supply Teacher for the rest of the academic year. The school are looking for a confident and passionate teacher who can use their skills and experience to engagea class in the teachers absence. The success Teacher must have excellent class management and behaviour skills.The ideal Supply Teacher:

  • Available Full Time
  • PGCE or PGCET qualification
  • Happy to cover lessons outside of subject specialism
  • Experience teaching secondary aged pupils
  • Happy to travel to NP22 area
The role of the supply teacher will be to ensure that the lessons are covered when the subject teacher is off. The school are experiencing a high number of absences due to illness and training courses and want a strong teacher to ensure the students do notmiss out on their education. The successful teacher will need to ensure that there is good classroom behaviour, and the work left is carried out and completed by the class. It is important that the successful teacher can adapt to different subjects and yeargroups and use their initiative to engage the students for the lesson. You will be required to support classes of up to 25/30 pupils at one time ranging between KS3 and KS4 pupils.The school is a 3-18 super school at the heart of the community. It is an amalgamation of three local schools, consisting of two primary schools and one comprehensive school.
