Quality Engineer - £28,000 per annum plus Pension & Benefits37 hour, 4 Day working week!Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:45 37 hours per weekAcorn is recruiting a Quality Engineer for a leading international business based at their UK site in Tredegar. This is a great opportunity to experience working for a highly respected firm with excellent quality standards. Role: * To identify and implement Continual Improvement programmes throughout the Manufacturing Operation. To audit and report on the effectiveness and performance of the Quality Management Systems, through out the facility. * You will identify and implement Continual Improvement programmes throughout the Manufacturing Operation. As Quality Engineer you will: * perform various audits against predeclared schedules. - help train, develop and support the workforce to improve their understanding of the companys quality requirements. * support the Quality Manager in the effective resolution of customer concerns. * participate to continuous improvement (SMED, PPM reductions etc) * Investigate concerns, assist in preventing repeat issues. * Ensure correct quality tools available to meet customer and plant expectationsKnowledge/ Experience:* Good understanding of ISO9001:2015; TS16949:2016. * Fully conversant in PFMEA, Control Plans, 5S, Lean Philosophy. * Ideally CMM conversant or trained in PcDmis. * Ideally TS16949 internal auditor trained.This role has a lot of scope for development, and you will have the chance to take advantage of excellent employee benefits, a competitive starting salary and a great 4 day working week.Acorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
