• To have primary responsibility for Compliance (SMF 16 Senior Manager Function)
• Maintaining effective compliance and conduct risk frameworks.
• Responsible for Compliance monitoring/reporting across the business.
• To chair Compliance Meetings, and prepare communications/reports for Board Meetings with regular attendance, as required.
• To develop and manage routine monitoring and compliance audits.
• Supporting the business on matters relating to compliance and conduct risk through on demand and advisory activities.
• To horizon scan and keep senior managers/other staff informed of emerging issues; regulatory developments; new consultations and other matters which may impact the firm.
• To effectively challenge the business on compliance and conduct matters.
• To oversee the development and maintenance of company compliance policies and procedures.
• To provide compliance/regulatory expertise to support the routine review & update of various company processes & documentation.
• To embed a customer focused culture in line with Consumer Duty requirements.
• To contribute to the production of statutory returns.
• To oversee Complaint handling processes within the firm and provide expert advice/support in relation to individual customer complaints.
• To develop and manage the Companys Compliance training framework.
• Provision of support and advice, as appropriate, to individuals/companies who are linked organisations and/or for whom Family Finance has oversight responsibilities, e.g. motor credit brokers
• To act as the Companys Data Protection Officer - Ensuring compliance with GDPR and associated rules
• To oversee the Companys Health and Safety policy framework (Managed by HR Manager).
• To maintain adequate resources within the team and manage direct reports.

Person Specification

• Experience of working in a senior Risk/Compliance role for an FCA regulated business in the Consumer Finance sector.
• Experience of working for the FCA or another relevant regulator (desirable)
• Excellent understanding of FCA Regulation (Consumer Finance) & Data Protection Legislation.
• Minimum 5 GCSEs including English & Maths with a compliance related qualification desirable
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office software and in particular, Microsoft Excel
• Experience in/aptitude for collating data and producing MI reports
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organisational skills. Ability to multi-task efficiently.
• Ability to write clear and concise records.
• Strong attention to detail
