Job Description

Are you a Project Worker, Support Worker or Domiciliary Care Worker Come and join the Vetro team!Location: TonypandyJob type: Flexible agency workHours: 8AM - 11PM with a sleep in, finishing at 8:30AM the next day.Pay: £10.09 per hour including holiday payAre you looking for the chance to support adults with mental health needsDo you want the opportunity to work across different projectsHave you got previous experience in the care sectorWe are currently working closely with a high level 24-hour supported housing scheme for people with mental health issues. This property has 4 adult tenants who have their own rooms and share a communal lounge, kitchen and bathroom. Tenants at the project are supported to gain the skills they need to move onto independent living.This is similar to a bank Support Worker job and is a great way to add some variety to your working week while gaining experience in a variety of different settings! We support a whole range of clients across Cardiff and the Vale, Newport, Torfaen, RCT and Blaenau Gwent.What can you bring to this Project Worker jobAs a Project Worker, you will be caring, empathetic and enthusiastic. You will be comfortable working with challenging behaviours and supporting vulnerable adults to engage in different activities in the community. Due to the requirements while on shift, you should hold a full UK driving licence.What will you do as a Project WorkerAs a Project Worker you will be responsible for the following;

  • Giving people with mental health needs the confidence and skills to live a more fulfilling life
  • Giving tenants the chance to lead a full life instead of isolation or family dependence
  • Creating and encouraging good relationships and communication with tenants
  • Supporting in situations with challenging behaviours in a safe and sympathetic way
